2019 Wrap up

This year was the best year known to me I had lots of fun with my friends and I really liked art and sports here is my slideshow of memories of 2019 and some photos.

Beach Ed!!!!

Kia Ora yesterday we all went to Pt Chev beach for our annual Beach Ed we had so much fun. We played 6 fun and Educational games on the Beach my favourite was the relays and the sponge game. If you got to go what would you do and with who? Here are some pictures of us doing the activities.

Cultural Festival

on Saturday 23th of November there was the Cultural Festival and I performed in the Niue it was really fun.we did a really long before and it was really funny we did a really long before and it was really funny because we split too early. The Cultural Festival was a really good experience for me were you in the culture festival and what group did you participate in?

On Tuesday the 5th of November Puriri and Kauri went to the Love Lock tracks and we did field events and track running. We all had puffed and puffed it was fun I liked long jump and track running.

Friendship, Excellence and Respect

Today Richie Patterson came to the school and told us about his life and how its okay to fail and how there are 3 Olympic value Respect Excellence and Friendship. Did you know that he won gold in Glasgow 2014 in his last game in Gold Coast 2018 he lost all three tries and came last.

3 Paragraph Story

Day 1: Fish Island

Gracefully, on a warm sunny day, the sinister elephantine fish swam in the tropical lake. What he really didn't notice was the giant farm on top of his back. The same time the farm people started to move but they didn't notice soon after, They were really moving. They could see ripples forming in the water below. Would they make it stop? Soon after they also saw the fish one of the children got a knife and dropped it down on the fish. The fish thew water at them to get of farm they were sinking

Past ones prime, worldly wise yet tired Joe staggers wobbly with wrinkled legs in other words Joe is old.

Day 2 The Rickety Bridge

Recklessly, one of the children survived but everything else was gone, her home ,her family ,her toys and clothes. In the middle of a lonely tropical lake a little girl lays in the water struggling to keep herself alive she lands on a dry forest. By 2 o'clock to 5 o'clock she has been savagely looking for something to eat. In the forest were lots of weird sound(scary sounds) when she peeks in the bushes the girl hears a twig snap she cautiously takes big steps back then a fierce wolf comes out to feed on its prey. She runs like there was no tomorrow (which was going to happen) she found a brick wall and banged it hard everywhere. Then a small door opened and she ran through it. Then she saw the most old bridge in the world it must have been 2000 years old to be this wobbly the wolf was following  her trace she had no choice. This was the only way out. There was no turning back now. She fearlessly crossed the overly aged bridge that was leaning on one side and was about to fall any second. 


Day 3: The Magic Tree

Mysteriously, the frightened girl went past the bridge but she was confused. There was a barren valley with bones covering the ground and the sky was black. But something else caught her sight it was a tree not just any tree. This tree was different to other trees. It contained magic. It had wrinkled branches and dusty orange leaves like no other. The poor girl was in a spell which causes her to approach the beautiful illusion she pushes her legs towards the tree she remembers her mothers saying "you'll never know unless you try it". Finally her legs stop and wait for a minute then they jump in the portal along with the rest of her body. Sad things happen in life like accidentally walking in a valley called THE VALLEY OF DEATH and being cast in a spell by a bunch of bones the climbing in the tree of death and vanishing in the pile bones just know you are the bones.  

Day 3 The Ghostly Shadow

Bravely, the committed man continued to journey down the never ending lane that was clearly fulfilled with the thickest of thick fog. The scary darkened trees consume the white fog. When the fog clears just a bit there is a shadow in the horizon. Of a man but no sound and no movements. One second you saw it, the next you didn't. What would the man do to overcome his fears of the shadow

Day 2 The Arctic Journey

Recklessly, the powerful 
Siberian huskies ran the weak lake behind them dragging their owner who was on the most comfy sleigh. The husky leader didn't suspect a thing when he heard  a squeak  surely he heard the next CRACK but noooo  he didn't.  The ground beneath him started to shatter. The amount of  husky's was too much for the extremely weak lake the ground broke and swallowed the ten husky's and the owner savagely and they all drowned. 

Art 2019

This term we have been learning to do some wonderful Picasso art which is really fun and we made some mistakes but mistake don't ruin anything with Picasso. We have also Picasso colouring's and coloured them with pastel we separated their faces with colours it was cool. In choose Tuesday i did sewing and we sewed pillows and donuts it was the most fun. We last did a class art piece we did the sun with vines and bird coming here are some pictures

Day 1 The Greatest Library

Today we are writing about The greatest Library picture. We are learning to use -ly sentence starters.here is the picture


Anxiously, she took a step through the tunnel and found herself in an unusual place with millions of books. A normal place with hundreds of shelf's is a library but this had flying books...This was no ordinary library. She found a chair which no one had been on she took the precious advantage of siting her aching body since she went through the dark tunnel. As she sat she spotted her favourite book that her mother used to read her. her nose was always stuck in that book for hours but now forever. 

BOOK WEEK!

This week we had Book Week in the school. On Monday we had a book swap it was a great time for all of us who did it. On Tuesday we had stop drop and read. On Wednesday we went to the library and we had to play a wheres wally game were we had to look for all ten Wally's. On Friday we had a fantastic book character day I dressed up as Arnie the Doughnut I think I looked really cool. My favourite activity day was Friday what is yours

Timeline of a hero

Today I finished my timeline of Sir Edmund Hillary. It was fun because I had to research about sir Edmund Hillary and find pictures that relate to the time then I shortened it and put the key words in a small box with a picture. Have you ever tried this activity or something similar?

Film Festival Fun-time!!!

This Thursday we were invited to the international film festival. We watched 14 cool and short films.

here are my three favourites and why

 This is my first favourite because it is so funny and cool when they start the beat and make it faster and eventually break

 This my second because it  wasn't as good as the other one but it shows a lesson in life of how to be patient for things.

 This I  liked because it was funny about how it toke lots and lots of tries to get the ice cream in the sloths mouth

Questions:

1. What is a hero? Find a definition and write it into your own words.a hero is basically a person who is remembered or cherished for there courage or deed
2. What is the difference between being a hero and being an idol? being an idol just means you have good looks or being a pretty person but being called a hero is a reward for doing a good deed
3. What makes a person a hero? A person who is a hero can be anyone they just have to be kind and do something good and be a good role model to others.

BUDDY'S IN THE LIBRARY!!!!

On Wednesday 26 of June room 24 and room 6 went to the library together. Then we pick our buddy's and picked a book to read to them and just before they left we read a story. Here is the books me and hazel read to our buddy.

WRITING!!!

one day room 24 had been writing about week 5 stranded. we all looked for interesting wow words and it was really fun at first I thought I was not that good but when I tried I was surprised of my words.Here is my writing I was talking about.

The bright sunny horizon shone on the barren abandoned sandbar. the multi coloured palm trees swayed as a gust of wind hit the tallest one.then suddenly a flash of lightning hit a minuscule piece of wood. as that happens an everlasting flame rose in the dead of night. there as the flame expands as fast as a cheetah all the nocturnal animals come to play. the party goes on and on from night to night. as the awaken sun replaces the bright yellow moon. and the waves start crashing to the start of the day as the energised humans walk on the sandy terrain while small waves collapse on there calf's.

space art!!!!!!!

This term we have been learning about space. We watched a space art video and we all tried it. It was so cool and it turned out better than we thought. We also made these amazing stars and comets by drawing a x  and dragging the edges but for the comets we had to draw a dot and then drag it with our thumbs.

Cross-country champions

On the 10th of June kauri team had there yearly cross country. Everybody found it challenging to climb the hill.I🏆 came first place, Neena came second place ,and Oshani came third.Here are some pics🏃🏁
